JOHNS CREEK, GA – July 21, 2016 – Ebix, Inc., a leading international supplier of on-demand software and e-commerce services to the insurance, financial and healthcare industries, announced today that its Life Sciences division creative work has won a Digital Health Award in 2016. Ebix Life Sciences was recognized with a Bronze award for its e-learning tool built for Allergan, one of the leaders in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Company announced that the Health Information Resource Center, (HIRC), awarded Allergan’s Facial Anatomy E-Learning Tool with a Digital Health Award. Ebix’s Life Sciences division, in partnership with Allergan, built the Facial Anatomy e-learning training tool for doctors. The tool helps physicians better understand facial muscles, bone structure and insertion techniques.
Now in its 18th year, the goal of the Digital Health Awards is to recognize high-quality digital health resources for consumers and health professionals. The awards program is organized by HIRC, a clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. The Digital Health Awards is the largest program of its kind in the United States.
HIRC’s panel of health technology professionals judge entries based on content, format and success in reaching the targeted health audience and overall quality. Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit certificates are presented by division and category using a rating scale of 1 to 100 points.
Ebix has been recognized several times over the last few years by the Health Information Resource Center with Digital Health Awards.
